The Routt County Nordic Ski Association (RCNSA) is dedicated to fostering community and communication within the Nordic skiing community in Routt County.
Our mission is to enhance access to high-quality Nordic skiing experiences by improving trail grooming, strengthening communication among skiers, and advocating for trail improvements. We strive to create a welcoming environment for skiers of all levels—whether recreational, competitive, or new to the sport—by promoting education, race/event opportunities, and collaboration with local organizations.
Through strategic planning and community-driven initiatives, we aim to make Nordic skiing more accessible, enjoyable, and well-supported across the valley.
Our vision is to be the advocacy group for Nordic skiing in Routt County, recognized for clear communication and strong community engagement. We envision a future where skiers can easily access real-time trail conditions, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy consistently well-maintained trails throughout the Yampa Valley. By building relationships with land managers, businesses, and local government, we aim to expand and improve Nordic skiing opportunities while ensuring long-term sustainability. Through innovation, advocacy, and a commitment to inclusivity, we will elevate Routt County as a premier Nordic skiing destination for all.
